The Garden

It is our aim to make available to our customers as much home grown food as possible and to this end we have given over a couple of acres of land to the production of fruit and vegetables. To extend the season we currently have two tunnels which enable us to produce early crops of certain vegetables.

Vegetable production has been a steep and frequently difficult learning curve, but each year we have managed to increase the amount of homegrown produce which we sell in the shop.

We make no apology for the occasional wildlife which you may find on your lettuce or cabbage, unlike chemical farming, the various pests that afflict our vegetables die of natural causes.

Below right: The Brassicas, cabbage, brocolli and cauliflower. The yellow flowers are from plants that have shot, ideally they shouldn't be there.
